Rant
On today's episode of "Things That Should Not Be Done": I just saw a PR that implemented a new feature by adding a new microservice... to handle a single button click. The button is on the homepage. It's a marketing button. It links to the company's LinkedIn page. The PR is 5000 lines of code. It includes a new database, a new CI/CD pipeline, and a README file that is 30 pages long. This is peak engineering. This is why I drink.
SMDS.
